Phibela Industrial PLC
Phibela Industrial PLC is one of the largest edible oil refineries in Africa, making a significant contribution to Ethiopia’s industrial and agricultural sectors. Located in Bure town, West Gojjam Zone, in the Amhara National Regional State, the industrial complex is situated 441 km north of Addis Ababa. Established with an investment of 4.5 billion Birr, the facility demonstrates a strong commitment to driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities for over 3,000 citizens.


Edible Oil Refinery and Fractionation
The Edible Oil Refinery and Fractionation unit at Phibela Industrial PLC is a state-of-the-art facility that produces 1,500 tons of refined palm and sunflower oil daily. This large-scale operation plays a vital role in meeting the growing demand for edible oil in Ethiopia and beyond.
Soap and Detergent Factory
The Soap and Detergent Factory is another significant component of the complex, with a total production capacity of 100 tons per day. It produces 80 tons of laundry soap and 30 tons of toilet soap daily, ensuring a steady supply of essential cleaning products to the local market.


Margarine Factory
The Margarine Factory is dedicated to producing high-quality margarine for both domestic and commercial use. This facility adds to the diversity of Phibela Industrial PLC’s product range, serving as an important contributor to Ethiopia’s food processing sector.
