BK Metal Engineering Complex
Established in 2018 with an initial investment capital of 540 million Birr, BK Metal Engineering Complex stands as one of Ethiopia’s significant industrial ventures. Located in Gelan town, 30 kilometers south of Addis Ababa, the complex is spread across a sprawling 12,000 square meters of land. The facility is primarily engaged in assembling world-class vehicles, including IVECO brand heavy-duty trucks imported from Italy and Golden buses sourced from China. These vehicles cater to Ethiopia’s growing demand for reliable transportation solutions in both the public and private sectors.
BK PP Bags Factory
In 2018, BK Group expanded into the manufacturing sector by establishing its PP Bags Factory, which specializes in producing high-quality polypropylene (PP) bags. The factory boasts an impressive production capacity of 40,000 bags per day, making it a vital supplier for industries such as agriculture, construction, and packaging. These durable and lightweight PP bags are essential for storing and transporting products like grains, cement, and other industrial materials.
BKTM Concrete Poles Production Plants
BKTM operates two state-of-the-art concrete pole production plants, strategically located in Bahir Dar and Gondar, 565 and 760 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, respectively. These plants have a combined daily production capacity of 100 concrete poles, which are essential for Ethiopia’s rapidly growing infrastructure and energy sectors. The poles are primarily used in the construction of power transmission and distribution networks, making the plants critical to the country’s electrification efforts.
